Klingenmünster

Last night, I went to Frankfurt airport to meet a friend, Cath. She was staying at the same hotel as me.

Today, we’re going to drive to Klingenmünster. First we had to pick up a car.

The car hire place was around the corner from our hotel. After breakfast, we went to pick up the car earlier than our pick-up time. The car was ready and soon, after filling in the paperwork, we were in the car trying to work out how it worked! The GPS, despite being added, was not working. They couldn’t figure it out. So we used Google Maps to navigate.

The car journey to Helene was about a two-hour drive. The route was straightforward, which was just as well because driving in a foreign country (especially the wrong side of the road) is stressful. Soon we were in Klingenmünster.

Helene had prepared a light lunch. We then walked to the town centre. After walking around the few streets, we settled down for an ice cream/sorbet. It was another hot day!

We returned to the car and drove to the Airbnb apartment we three were staying at.
