It was lovely to return to Kew Gardens after so long. Unlike normally, you couldn’t just rock up and go in. You had to book a slot for a particular day and time.
Usually when I go, as a member, I can bypass the queue and waltz in. No such luck this time. There was a huge queue for the time slot I’d booked. When the time arrived, however, we were let in fairly quickly.
There were lots of sensible physical distancing measures in place and foot-operated hand sanitisers.
This was the busiest I’d seen Kew Gardens. Since it’s so big, it’s easy to keep away from others. By the time we got to the shop, most people had left. I picked up my usual Kew soap: Bergamot and Ginger. I love the smell!
