Ever since I saw the film Loving Vincent, I’ve liked Van Gogh’s paintings even more. It’s a beautiful film animated in the style of his paintings.
When I tried to book a ticket for the Van Gogh museum, it was sold out for several days. The next tickets would be available after I left Amsterdam. After visiting the Rijksmuseum, I checked a nearby ticket office and they had one ticket left for the day for the 3.45pm slot. So it was with even greater pleasure that I looked at his paintings again.
The nearby Stedelijk Museum, the modern art museum, is shaped like a bath tub. Fortunately, the contents were somewhat better than a bathtub 😁. It has a good, although small, selection of modern art.
