If you’re wondering why I’ve posted so many times today, it’s because I have a 9-hour wait between flights! I’ve taken the opportunity to bring posts up to date.
For my final day in Mumbai (and India), I walked around looking at the colonial-era and art deco architecture, and finished off in the bustling Crawford Market with its maze of never-ending bazaars selling everything you could possibly want.
I liked Mumbai – you can easily walk around, people are jogging, a beach, great architecture, a variety of museums and art galleries, friendly people, good food, and people thought I was Indian, which, of course, I am now 😉!
I asked this woman if I could take her photo. She nodded. I took it, walked away then noticed the photo wasn’t focused. Doh! So I went back and cheekily asked if I could take another one. She nodded. She smiled the first time; the second time, there’s an air of resignation! “If you must!”

Thanks. I was surprised how hospitable Mumbai was. I wouldn’t necessarily live there if I could but I do like it. It combines many aspects of India and modern urban life.
