He’s the man, the man with the Midas touch

This somewhat innocuous modernist building was designed by and the home of architect Erno Goldfinger. His name was used in the James Bond film. It’s worth a visit on a rainy day, especially one of the guided tours in which you learn about the functional design behind the aesthetics.

Royal Festival Hall to the Royal Opera House

A day of culture: Alchemy at the Southbank Centre has a South Asian theme, which is worth checking out. We saw a sitar tribute to Ravi Shankar led by his wife.
