Yesterday, on returning from Auschwitz-Birkenau, I saw that it was raining. This was the first rain in the two weeks I’d been travelling. The temperature had dropped below the high 20s it had been. It was a shook! I took cover in the main station, Kraków Główny.
Once the rain stopped, I walked to Massolit Books & Cafe, which sold old and new English language books as well as having a fine cafe with many cake choices for me.

I was enjoying my first time in Poland. I wasn’t sure what my next stop would be. So I decided to stay a couple of extra days in Kraków. I had to find accommodation since my current place was fully booked. In the end, I found something on Airbnd. Unlike my previous place, this studio apartment had a washing machine, which was handy.
Once I checked into the new place, I went for a walk around the new area I found myself in.

I saw that the Wawel Royal Castle and Cathedral Museum weren’t too far away. These are two of the highlights of Kraków, which I hadn’t seen.
Separate tickets were available for different parts of the castle: the first floor, second, etc. I didn’t have the capacity for more sightseeing after spending the past two days in the salt mine and Auschwitz-Birkenau.

After walking around the pleasant castle grounds (with views over the city), I returned to Cytat Cafe, which I went to a few days ago. I worked on my blog and read my book. The cafe was busier (and noisier) than my last visit, which cut short my stay.
Veganic, a restaurant, came up in a few searches. I took a tram there to have dinner. This was a much more peaceful place.
Once settled down, I went over the top and ordered a starter, main, and a smoothie. The food was very tasty and, despite looking expensive, was good value for money.
