One of the notable changes since my last trip here is the spread of “coffee shops”. People don’t come up to you and whisper “hash brownies” any more. You can now openly buy cannabis-infused food – from chocolate bars to lollipops – that’s packaged to appeal to everyone. Now that cannabis has been approved for medical use in the UK, is it only a matter of time before supermarkets start to sell it?
I always remember Amsterdam being vegetarian friendly but now there are many vegan options. And just to prove vegans can eat junk food too, there are two branches of Vegan Junk Food Bar.
The lumping together of cannabis and vegan restaurant is a coincidence 😀
