Hampi Bazaar is looking deserted because the state has decided to stop commercial activity around it. They had already done something similar (in 2011 and 2016) by relocating residents 18km away and demolishing their properties! As of yesterday, all guesthouses, restaurants and shops in the Bazaar have ceased commercial activity. I’ve managed to bypass the ban by clandestinely leaving and returning to my guesthouse – all the time making it appear that my room is unoccupied 🤔. I am the invisible man.🕵️
This monkey couldn’t quite work out how to drink from the bottle. After trying various options, he opted to get down to the level of the water whilst moving the bottle in erratic ways often spilling and wasting the water. Some monkeys are smarter than others.
